What is STONETES?

STONETES is a family jewellery atelier based on the coast of Barcelona. We transform your baby’s touch, captured in a small piece of wax, into a unique piece of jewellery you can wear every day and keep for a lifetime.
What is a “touch kit” and what does it include?

Our touch kit is the starting point of every Stonete. Each kit includes:

  • 3 wax samples so you have several chances to capture the perfect touch.
  • A printed instruction card with a step-by-step guide.
  • Protective packaging for the waxes.
  • A prepaid return label so you can send the impressions back to our atelier.
From what age can I capture my baby’s touch?

You can order a kit from newborn. For babies under 12 months, we don’t look for a sharp fingerprint – their ridges are still very soft – but for gentle skin folds and natural texture. This soft, organic pattern is exactly what will be transformed into your jewel.
Is the process safe for my baby?

Yes. We use afire-free, soft waxdesigned to be gentle with newborn and infant skin. You only need light, even pressure for a few seconds. You should never force the hand or foot into the wax; comfort always comes first, and you can pause and try again later if your baby is unsettled.
How do I take a good impression?

A few simple tips:

  • Choose a calm moment (after a feed or nap).
  • Warm your hands and soften the wax between your fingers before using it.
  • Pick an area with natural creases: finger pad, side of a toe, palm crease, or wrist/ankle fold.
  • Press lightly for 2–3 seconds and lift straight up.
  • Use all three wax attempts so we can select the best impression when crafting your piece.
What if I don’t like any of the impressions I took?

Don’t worry – it happens. Your kit includes several attempts. If none of them looks usable, you can contact us and we’ll help. In line with our terms, we can send areplacement kit for a small handling feeso you can try again.
How long does the whole process take?

Once we receive your wax impressions at our atelier, crafting your Stonete takesaround 3–4 weeks. This time does not include the shipping time from your home to us and back to you. You’ll receive your jewel beautifully packaged, ready to wear or to gift.
What materials do you use? Will my jewellery last?

We work with 925 Sterling Silver and 9k Solid Gold, finished with a subtle champagne diamond. With normal care, these are materials made to last over time. To keep your piece beautiful, avoid contact with perfume, lotions, and moisture, and store it in its original box when you’re not wearing it.
Can I return or exchange my jewellery?

Because each Stonete is handcrafted from your baby’s unique touch, every piece isfully personalised. Once we receive your wax impressions and start crafting, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded. If you have any doubts before sending your waxes, please contact us – we’re happy to help before the process begins.
Can I order more than one piece from the same impression?

Yes. Many families like to create matching pieces (for example, one for each parent or for grandparents) from the same touch. Just let us know before placing your order and we’ll guide you through the options and prices.
